The role:

The Area Sales Manager-salon channel is a field sales leadership position responsible for overseeing and driving new and existing business development, brand loyalty, brand recognition and personnel development in a region comprised of several territories. The Area Sales Manager works in conjunction with the Senior Sales Manager of Sales, the General Manager and the channel marketing manager team to create and execute relevant sell-in and sell through strategies, business development strategies, business consultation, sales and retail promotions and strong relationship management.

The Area Sales Manager is directly responsible for the growth and development of their Brand Executive team. Individual Bonus and performance are determined by attainment of regional sales targets and development of the regional team.

This role will cover the Southwest United States (California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah).

Essential Functions

  • Create a powerful, trusting relationship with clients and internal teams
  • Work closely to coach and advise Brand Executives to support sell-in and sell-through strategies of individual territories and achieve sales goals.
  • Oversee rotation management/service levels of Brand Executives inclusive of existing and new business
  • Regular field rotation with each Brand Executive, develop and maintain relationships with key accounts in each market
  • Oversee maintenance of strong funnel of potential new business
  • Support and guide Brand Executives to execute approved Retail and sales promotions for maximum results including KPI (new product initiatives, replenishment and new business) inclusive of integration of all internal systems (Salesforce and Tableau)
  • Provide advice and feedback to guide Brand Executives to achieve individual goals, and adjust as needed, assimilation of JTM principles.
  • Communicate relevant feedback from field to Leadership on programs, products or industry development
  • Hold weekly or bi-weekly one/one status calls with each direct report, provide assistance, coaching and guidance where needed
  • Hold weekly or bi-weekly team communication to maximize productivity and maintain team spirit
  • Promote, plan, and coordinate execution of regional and national company-sponsored business development and educational events including enrollment
  • Attend all company provided meetings and trainings
  • Awareness of industry evolution
  • Overnight travel up to 75%
